On the back of a chance encounter at a wine tasting in Melbourne, it was recommended that we must stay at Wine Relais Feudi Del Pisciotto. Our one regret – we only stayed one night. We really should have stayed two nights. It was really wonderful.
The hotel was built around a converter centuries-old winery, situated at the top of a hill, where the vineyards extended out in all directions. Also, they were in the middle of a nature reserve. The place was gorgeous and very tastefully renovated. Our room had the whole rooftop terrace to ourselves, overlooking the vineyards. 
We had a fabulous wine tasting with the chief wine maker who gave us a tour of the facility. This was the tasting room.
